LIVE WEBINAR: July 24, 2025 | 1:00pm-2:00pm ET

Registration includes the live webinar link (sent via zoom), the webinar recording, PDF of the slides, and continuing education credit (CME and CMLE).

Description:

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) has transformed clinical diagnostics by enabling high-resolution detection of infectious diseases, genetic mutations, and cancers. However, traditional NGS workflows remain resource-intensive, often requiring outsourcing to reference laboratories which delays results and limits clinical impact. This webinar will explore the design, validation, and clinical adoption of rapid and automated NGS platforms tailored for in-house use across different services. Real-world scenarios will illustrate how clinical laboratories can integrate automated NGS technologies to support time-sensitive clinical decision-making.

Learning Objectives:
  • Describe automated next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms and the variations in clinical applications.
  • Describe key validation findings and workflow considerations involved in the implementation of automated NGS platforms in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Discuss the impact of in-house NGS testing on diagnostic workflow efficiency, result turnaround time, and clinical decision-making.
