TPMT and NUDT15 Genotyping Recommendations: A Joint Consensus

In this pre-recorded lecture,
AMP Pharmacogenomics Working Group members Dr. Reynold Ly moderates as Dr.
Makenzie Fulmer provides an update on clinical TPMT and NUDT15 testing, which
was recently published online by the JMD. With a goal of promoting standardization
of clinical PGx testing across different clinical laboratories, this Working
Group has published recommendations on CYP2C19, CYP2C9, Warfarin allele and
CYP2D6 genotyping allele selections previously, and now TPMT and NUDT15
selection for clinical laboratories to use as guidelines when designing and
developing these PGx assays. Healthcare providers may also find these documents
useful in comparing and contrasting PGx tests across clinical laboratories when
they are familiar with a “must-test” list for each of the pharmacogenes.
