Description:
AMP presented key findings from a recent nation-wide COVID-19 survey of laboratories, which assessed various aspects of COVID-19 molecular diagnostic testing including current and anticipated testing capacity, testing turn-around times, supply chain issues, test performance and validation, and the processes for reporting to federal/state organizations. Data was compared to that obtained in an earlier survey conducted in April to develop a comprehensive timeline of bottlenecks and identify current issues with testing access. Additionally, the briefing included timely policy recommendations based on the survey’s findings, which aim to effectively leverage America’s large and diverse laboratory network to best respond to the Coronavirus pandemic. The recording includes the presented survey data and recommendations, the subject matter expert panel discussion, and QA sessions with the attendees.
