This session describes recent data on the workforce shortage, reasons for the shortage, and the impact on laboratories, patient care, and educational facilities. New solutions for addressing the workforce shortage is also presented, highlighting new partnerships between healthcare and robotics and the roadmap for robotics implementation in the clinical laboratory.
