This self-paced, ondemand course is designed to provide an overview of techniques and instrumentation used from the framework of the "Molecular Pathology/Molecular Diagnostic Toolkit." In this course, faculty members will take an exciting look at current molecular hot topics from the AMP president and an up-to-date discussion of SARS-CoV-2 testing. They then review preanalytical variables that impact molecular testing, testing modalities for the assessment of genome structure, and the application of next-generation sequencing and informatics to clinical practice. These sessions will be supplemented by interactive, case-based presentations that will illustrate important teaching points for each topic.
