This course is designed to provide an overview of techniques and instrumentation used from the framework of the "Molecular Pathology/Molecular Diagnostic Toolkit." In this course, faculty members will present case studies to demonstrate the toolkits methodologies and technologies. Emphasis will be placed on molecular testing in the areas of clinical genetics, solid tumors, hematopathology, and infectious diseases. The application of novel technologies, such as next generation sequencing and informatics, will also be highlighted.
